Overview

Hammer Timed was a completely new business start-up, beginning trading in January 2024. George Lowis was in employment in August, having the idea to set up his own business in September 2023. Now, they are the UK’s leading online, farm and plant machinery auction. They boast a network of connections that enables users to sell their farm, plant and commercial equipment efficiently and without stress. With over 20 years of experience, they ensure their customers get the best price for their machinery.

The challenge

To create recognisable, strong branding that reflected the expertise and experience of the company. Whilst the company was a new start-up, the staff boasted a wealth of experience in this field and this needed to be communicated to potential clients. George felt he was ‘a million miles away from marketing and branding’ and he needed some guidance navigating this area of his business.

Why Hammer Timed chose Bespoke Brands?

George was referred to Neil and Lance (Bespoke Brands) through Bee at Surf Up! Bee was approached to build a website for Hammer Timed and she recommended Bespoke Brands to offer support and guidance in the branding of the company.

The service and the solution

First of all, as a result of the referral, Neil met with George, providing an opportunity to
go through his vision for the company. George was impressed with how everything was presented and what was said. Bespoke Brands were able to create a name that reflects the service and quality offered by George and his team.

George said, ‘They did all of the branding for us and they encouraged us to change the name. Originally, I was going to call it Global Equipment Auctions but they helped me to realise that it was too long and too complicated. Looking back, they were 100% right; it was. So, we had the name change. They came up with loads of suggestions for us.’

Bespoke Brands were able to create strong branding that revealed the expertise and distinct nature of the service offered by Hammer Timed. George said, ‘The branding and design was important to us; I know Lance was heavily involved in the branding and design and I was quite impressed with that.’

The design of the website and the effective marketing campaigns were created to cultivate growth and to develop the company further. Additionally, Bespoke Brands enabled Hammer Timed to maximise their social media presence with the creation of strong graphics. George and the team (Hammer Timed) were delighted with what Bespoke Brands have done. He said, ‘It’s been brilliant!’

Results and discussion

Hammer Timed felt they made an investment in Bespoke Brands which will hopefully get them a return, in the short term and for the duration. It seems that there have been many benefits. George said that Lance and Neil were ‘great guys’, providing help and being approachable throughout the whole process. Hammer Timed have been happy with all of the work that they have done for them. George revealed, ‘We had them on a retainer for 5 months when we were just establishing ourselves and it really helped us.’ Along with the branding, Bespoke Brands helped George with essential marketing and business advice, including merchandising, activating planning and targeted email campaign marketing.
