Case study:

Skills Shop

On course for a clearer vision of the future

Skills Shop Limited is a company that offers a variety of health and safety training courses, such as Emergency First Aid at Work, Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace, Conflict Management, Emergency Paediatric First Aid at Work and Manual Handling. It delivers training throughout the UK including face-to-face and online courses and courses which combine each method.

Bespoke has helped Skills Shop to expand their business, win larger contracts and focus more clearly on how to develop the company. Originally called IJJA Training Solutions, the company was struggling to clearly articulate their offering. We suggested a rebrand including a new name that focussed on what people gained from the expert training courses they offered, which was the new ‘skills’ they would develop. A clear and professional brand identity was developed to support the new name.

With Bespoke’s support, Skills Shop developed their online learning and training content delivery. We also worked with Skills Shop to help them develop and promote a new venture - Easy Online Course Creator - to help corporate trainers deliver their own courses online.

In addition, we have helped create Skills Shop Pro, a managed training service designed to help companies save time and money. Firms can tell Skills Shop their training needs over a three-year period and Skills Shop can offer them a fully-flexible managed service to meet those needs.

“What was brilliant about Bespoke Brands was that at the start of our business relationship they asked the right questions designed to get to know more about us and our customers and what brands we valued and why. They were interested in how they could help us.

Skills Shop now has a clear brand identity with a professional logo. This gave a further boost to the credibility of what we were doing and helped us gain bigger contracts with larger companies.

We class Bespoke as personal friends and, as such, if we float an idea past them, they are not afraid to tell us to take a better option or go in a different direction.”

Phil Newton, Managing Director - Skills Shop
